New Portrait Website

I've been working almost nonstop on revamping my website to add a site specifically  for portraits.  Despite massive problems with my website creator, iWeb crashing and losing all of my new pages I managed to "repair my disk"  (MacBook Pro) and get them all back!!!!! A week later!!  So now I just have to work on portraits to post...

    Feeling the need to create...

Painting in a day..

Today I am working on a watercolor painting for a commission. The client provided a picture that they want the painting to look like... They want to have the primary colors be purple, turquoise and champagne. 

My initial painting as my proposal for this project was: 

The client then requested that they wanted to add green feathers. So I started on the painting using reference photos of peacocks, trying to keep it as realistic as possible. I don't know if the finished product is enough like the initial picture

So I made another one...

             

Not sure if I like this one either. Making the bird look precise, but then getting loosey goosey with the feathers is difficult for me since I'm really good at realism and less good at loose watery messiness.

Soooooo I decided to try another one....

I like this one the best. We will see which one the client likes....
